1. Acceptance of Terms
By signing up or by signing up your child to HSL Music / Youth Performance Choirs, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions set out herein and agree to be bound by them until termination of this Agreement. Please read them carefully.
2. Youth Performance Choir Rules
- Attendance: Regular attendance is fundamental to get the most out of the choir. Please let HSL Music know ahead of any upcoming known absences.
- Behaviour: Students are expected to maintain respectful and appropriate behaviour, listening and cooperating, during all classes and performances.
- Health: HSL Music kindly requests that if your child is poorly, you consider keeping your child at home. If it is essential your child attends, please ensure you provide a face mask for your child and remind your child about social distancing and hand hygiene.
3. HSL Music Lessons
- For lessons in my home, it is required that primary school age children will be accompanied by their parent / guardian to stay for the duration of the lesson.
- Practice: students are required to do regular practice between each lesson. Parent / guardian support of this is fundamental.
4. Payment for HSL Music lessons & the Youth Performance Choirs
Half termly invoices will be provided. These need to be paid ahead of each half term’s sessions starting. Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise specified in writing by HSL Music.
5. Pricing
Lesson fees are reviewed ordinarily at the end of an academic year. Written notice of price changes will be sent to the Pupil (or the Pupil’s parent / guardian, where appropriate) with a month’s written notice.
6. Liability
HSL Music / Youth Performance Choir aims to provide a safe and inclusive learning environment.
HSL Music / Youth Performance Choir is not responsible for any injury or damage sustained by students during lessons or choir activities.
HSL Music cannot take responsibility for your child’s actions. In the unlikely event that your child causes damage / breakage at the rehearsal hall during Youth Performance Choir, HSL Music will forward any repair costs to the parent / guardian.
7. Cancellation
You have the right to cancel this Agreement with half a term’s written notice of cancellation to HSL Music.
Once the written notice period has expired, the Agreement and any personal data will be terminated and safely disposed of in accordance with The Data Protection Act 2018 regulations.
7. 1 Short notice cancellation of a lesson
As described in your welcome letter, lessons do not go ahead if you or I are poorly.
Notice of cancelling a lesson under these above circumstances should be given with as much notice as possible.
Lessons missed under these circumstances will ordinarily be made up at a mutually convenient time within that half term.
If I arrive to your lesson when you or your family member are poorly I will not be able to deliver your lessons that day. That lesson will not be rescheduled and it will be considered as a last minute cancellation.
The half termly invoicing and scheduling process should mean that there are no lessons cancelled for any other reason.
However should you need to cancel a scheduled lesson, please give me as much notice as possible; a minimum of 24hours.
Scheduled lessons that are cancelled, for reasons other than illness, with less than 24 hours notice will not be rescheduled and will still be charged for.
8. Updates
HSL Music reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be posted on our website.
